Most of the offices and colleges have a LAN based connectivity which is restricted within the premises of the office/college. So, now i am going to show you how to crack in to any of your colleague/Friend's system connected in LAn and know all his/her logins

Ettercap is a suite for man in the middle attacks on LAN.,DNS spoofing etc.., which we will be using to crack in. We are going to perform man in the middle attacks using a basic method called arp poisoning with Ettercap, Now if you dont know what is arp posioning, i recommend to first look in to it.

Using Ettercap in Kali linux :

Ettercap is an app which is already present in kali Linux. So, justopen it from terminal with the below command.

Now, Select the sniff mode to "sniff all the host connected on a LAN" from :

And now Scan for host inside your network using :

After scan is completed we get to know the MAC and IP addresses of hosts connected to the LAN.

Now we choose to ARP poison any machine (for ex: 192.168.10.192). You can also use other machines from your host list whom you want to poison and remember that the IP of the router will always be 192.168.1.1.

Now, Highlight the line containing 192.168.1.1 and click on the "target 1" button. Then, Highlight the line containing 192.168.10.192(in my example) it’s the victims IP address and click on the "target 2" button as shown below :

Now, for starting arp poisoning, just go to :

This will start the sniffer by which you can see the activities and its done, you can see whatever urls victim will visit

Using Ettercap for any other Linux versions other than Kali Linux :

For any other flavours of Linux like Linux mint, peppermint, ubuntu, etc... you will have to download and Install Ettercap and then follow the same above steps.

Using Ettercap for Windows :

Ettercap also have a windows version of installation file which can be downloaded and installed and then follow the same steps
